On November 27 - December 8, 2010:
Global Fair for Automobiles, Tuning, Motor Sport and Classic Cars

In 2010, it will go to the starting line at Messe Essen for the 43rd time: On November 27 - December 5, 2010, the global fair for automobiles, tuning, motor sport and classic cars will once again be the meeting place of automobile passion. The annual automobile fair with the highest number of visitors in Germany will provide new impetus on its round birthday. Fresh ideas will ensure even more drive for the most multifaceted automobile fair anywhere in the world.

Easier Orientation Due to Modified Structuring of the Range on Offer

Modified thematic structuring of the individual groups of the range on offer will guarantee quick orientation for the visitors and will allow the exhibitors to reach their target groups of visitors in a selective way. For example, Hall 3 will form the platform for vehicle manufacturers presenting their new products - from small cars to super sports cars.

World's Largest Tuning Show in Eight Fair Halls

No fewer than eight halls (5, 8, 9, and 12) will bear the motto "Tuning and Accessories". The world's largest tuning show will be jam-packed with the range on offer on the global market for more automobile individuality and sportiness. Members of Verband Deutscher Automobil Tuner (the "Association of German Automobile Tuners") will once again present themselves in the noble ambience of the "Tuning Salon" in Halls 10 and 11.

Oldtimers and Classic Cars

Not only noble antique car rarities and youngtimers but also a wide range of oldtimer spare parts and accessories on offer will be the centre of attention in Hall 1 as well as in the upstairs halls (6.1, 8.1 and 9.1). Alfa Romeo will be the subject of a special presentation..

"Motor Sport Arena" in Hall 7:

For the first time, the Essen Motor Show will offer racing series the possibility of showing their vehicles in action to the interested visitors to the fair. Training sessions, races, racing taxis and awards ceremonies throughout the duration of the fair - the new Motor Sport Arena in Hall 7 will thus emit a quite special appeal and attractiveness.
The new concept of the Essen Motor Show for 2010 will be implemented in the new Motor Sport Arena in Hall 7 and will be called: "More Motor Sport and Live Acts". This year, the fair will thus implement an attractive programme for all the exhibitors with totally new possibilities. The around 300,000 visitors can look forward to no end of highlights: training sessions, races, rides in racing taxis and awards ceremonies. And not only that: Special events on the racetrack, e.g. prize presentations and autograph sessions, are planned in addition. And all that will not take place at certain times only but instead throughout the duration of the fair.

No End of New Kicks

The Motor Sport Arena will stand for unadulterated action: The motor-sport-mad visitors to the fair will be able to experience the roaring of engines and genuine breakneck speed at close quarters. Therefore, the new Hall 7 will be guaranteed to become the crowd-puller of the Essen Motor Show this year.

Extra Highlight in Hall 7 - the Pit Lane

The visitors' eyes will pop out in the Pit Lane adjacent to the indoor racecourse. Because there will be a lot of interesting, absolutely up-to-date and also amazing info about racing clubs and series. With 26 racing pits, the Pit Lane will thus be an optimum opportunity for exhibitors to provide the visitors with live information about their racing clubs and about the respective racing series on one of the nine days of the fair.

Action, party and bizarre things will be promised by the new concept for Hall 7: The "Show Center" will turn into the "Essen Showground" - an automobile party zone. Not only will the lowriders dance here but the most extraordinary private vehicles will also be honoured in car cruizer competitions. In the limelight too: dragsters, show cars and show bikes, art and sound cars as well as the most beautiful noble bikes from the bikers' meeting in Daytona in 2010. The programme will be rounded off by various events.

Motor Sport Innovation Center – The Fair Platform for Innovations from Motor Sport

German motor sport traditionally has strong connections with the Essen Motor Show. This year, motor sport will now move into the centre of the happenings at the fair at a new location in Halls 4.0 and 7.0: Motor Sport Innovation Center in Hall 4.0. The Motor Sport Innovation Center will start in Hall 4.0. Last year, around 20 exhibitors used the forum for innovations from motor sport in order to present new products and processes for motor sport to a knowledgeable expert public and motor sport fans. The spectrum of innovations in the Innovation Center extends from brake systems via carbon wheels, fuel pumps, belt systems, racing shock absorbers, oils and lubricants, cart parts, measuring and testing devices and innovations from the technical motor sport equipment right up to innovative service ideas. Engineers, drivers, sponsors, manufacturers, component suppliers and ambitious hobby racing drivers can exchange ideas and experience with trade specialists.

Motor Sport Mile: Meeting Place for Active Racers and Fans

In 2010, Messe Essen will devote even more attention to the subject of motor sport. The "Motor Sport Mile" in the Galeria will be extended. Companies, motor sport associations and race organisers will make the Galeria the meeting place for fans and active racers. Here, one particular highlight will be the new Motor Sport Innovation Forum in which new technical developments for racing will be introduced.

Trade Visitor and Press Day on Friday, November 27

In order to achieve an even higher presentation density, the duration of the fair will be nine days (November 28 - December 5, 2010). The first day of the fair will be preceded by the Trade Visitor and Press Day. On Friday, November 27, the Essen Motor Show will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. exclusively for journalists and experts. The official opening ceremony will also take place on that day. The opening times on the public days: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Germany's Number-One Motor Sport Fair:

At Full Speed on the Anniversary

Motor Sport Mile -
The Heart of the Fair Will Beat in the Galeria

The heart of the Essen Motor Show will beat here: In the Galeria which, as the Motor Sport Mile, will become the hot spot of the entire racing scene. Not only the motor sport associations Deutscher Motor Sport Bund (the "German Motor Sport Federation") and Deutscher Sportfahrerkreis (the "German Sports Driver Circle") but also the Nürburgring and companies involved in motor sport will be represented. As a platform for the presentation of technical innovations in the field of motor sport, the "Motorsport Innovation Center" will supplement the range on offer in the Motor Sport Mile.

New: MOTOR SPORT Innovation Center

In the MOTOR SPORT Innovation Center, a presentation of innovative products and new developments from the field of motor sport is planned throughout the period of the fair - For the expert motor sport public, for sponsors and for fans. On the Trade Visitor and Press Day, the MOTOR SPORT Innovation Center will be the central meeting place and communication forum for the expert motor sport world - For racing teams, product developers and know-how service providers.

Experience Racers and Stars at Close Quarters

At the Essen Motor Show, the fans will be able to experience racers, racing series and stars of the horsepower world at close quarters. Even outside the Motor Sport Mile, a lot of things at the Essen Motor Show 2010 will revolve around motor sport: Numerous spectacular exhibits will once again promise an unadulterated motor sport feeling.

Special Display : Tractor Pulling Hall 7.1

The custom-built racers mobilise up to 9,000 hp when it is a question of power, points and trophies in tractor pulling. At the Motor Show 2010, the complete Hall 7.1 will be devoted to this "monster motor sport".

New:
"Essen Showground" - Action, Party and Bizarre Things

One important new feature at the Essen Motor Show 2010 will relate to Hall 7: The traditional Show Center will turn into the "Essen Showground" - The ultimate automobile party mile. Action and absolute fun will be on the agenda, with a mix of breathtaking dance shows, fun and games. Joining-in will be the order of the day. Because, at the Essen Motor Show 2010, the visitors will be able to become active themselves in numerous events.

The stage programme in Hall 1A will be rounded off with hip-hop, freestyle and other weird attractions. For example, dancing vehicles will arouse the enthusiasm of the automobile-mad visitors in the G.L.C.A. Lowrider Show. Even now, the fans of the car cruizers may be curious. New vehicles of a particular kind have been announced here too.

One thing is already certain now: In Hall 1A at the Essen Motor Show, things will get really lively in December 2010 when a gigantic party is staged on the subject of show cars, bizarre automobiles and horsepower. On a few days, the Essen Showground will even be open after the end of the fair and will thus be proclaimed as the new party meeting place of the city.
