- CHASSIS BASED VERSION
CHASSIS
Full backbone space frame jig-built using 10, 12 and 14 swg CDS and ERW tubing.
Tig and Mig welded. Features include a detachable differential carrier, specially
fabricated front lower wishbones and steering arms, rear tie bars and seat belt
mountings. D type has integral roll bar. Chassis finished in full nylon coating
for maximum protection.
ENGINE
Jaguar XK 6 cylinder twin overhead cam unit, 3.4 litre (3.8 and 4.2 litre optional),
fully balanced with lightened flywheel. Twin 1¾" SU carburettors
(Triple Weber 45DCOE carburettors optional).
TRANSMISSION
Jaguar 4 speed all synchromesh manual with overdrive, Rear axle ratio 3.54:1
(3,07, 3,31 and 3.77 optional, also limited slip differential optional).
SUSPENSION
Front: Jaguar XJ series 2, independent with wishbones and coil springs over
adjustable dampers.
Rear: Jaguar S type/420, independent with wishbones and coil springs over dual
adjustable dampers.
STEERING
Rack: MGB - 2.75 turns
Column: Lower - Triumph TR7 (modified) Upper - Ford Escort (modified)
Wheel: l5" woodrim (13", 14" and original style replica optional).
BRAKES
Jaguar XJ series 2 discs and calipers. Tandem master cylinders with balance
bar.
WHEELS/TYRES
Jaguar XJ series 2 steel wheel 6xl5 with replica wheel trim (replica Dunlop
alloy wheel 15" or 16" optional). Steel braced radial ply 205/70 VR
l5 tyres.
FUEL SYSTEM
Replica Le Mans Filler cap. Stainless steel tank 15 gallons(imperial) capacity.
Electric fuel pump.
COOLING SYSTEM
Custom built radiator. Thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan. (Oil
cooler optional).
BODY
Full GRP body in hand laid 6oz and 8oz glassfibre. Engine bay fitted with aluminium
panels.
INSTRUMENTS
Replica tachometer 0-8,000rpm, speedometer 0-180mph. Ammeter, oil pressure,
water temperature, fuel gauges
