The Worlds Greatest Classic Car Show

March 21 - 25 2012

Essen, Germany

2011 Event - 178,300 visitors from 41 countries! 1200 exhibitors from 28 countries! Over 110,000 square metres of exhibition floor space in 17 halls! Approximately 2500 automobiles for sale! Over 130 presentations from clubs and museums!

"Neu im ZeitHaus" (New in the TimeHouse) is the theme of the presentation of the Autostadt from Wolfsburg, with more than two million visitors per year, globally the most frequently visited theme park with the focus on automobiles. A dozen of new acquisitions emphasize the aim of the Autostadt to present, globally as the only museum of an automobile manufacturer, more than 125 years of automobile history across all brands.

Accordingly, the ZeitHaus, which is intregrated in the Autostadt as an automobile museum, displays highlights from different eras. This is the complete list:
· VW Beetle Beutler pickup, manufactured in 1951
· VW type 2 DoKa, manufactured in 1960 - professionals will know: DoKa stands for double cabin
· Horch 830 Bk, manufactured in 1935;
· Bentley T2, manufactured in 1978;
· Cisitalia 202 Gran Sport of 1947, designed by Battista "Pinin" Farina and one of around 8,500 built;
· DeLorean DMC 12, with stainless steel body, which was built in Dunmurry, Northern Ireland, from 1981 to 1982;
· Lloyd LT 500, manufactured in 1953;
· DKW F 89L, manufactured in 1953;
· Franklin Airman, manufactured in 1928 - the Franklin was called "Airman" in honour of Charles Lindberg, the first man who crossed the Atlantic Ocean by plane;
· Cord 812 Compressor, manufactured in 1937;
· The last VW Golf 1 (Golf Citi from South Africa), manufactured in 2009;
· The last VW Beetle (Ultima Edicion), manufactured in 2003.

Autostadt Managing Director Otto Ferdinand Wachs comments on the exhibits from the ZeitHaus, which are presented at TECHNO-CLASSICA: "At this year's TECHNO-CLASSICA, some of the new acquisitions will be shown to the public for the first time in connection with the ZeitHaus. These are recent new acquisitions and some of them could be bought only shortly before TECHNO-CLASSICA. After the show, they will be integrated in the collection of the ZeitHaus and be on display in Wolfsburg in the Autostadt."
