Ford

Being a good tradition already, some German Ford clubs again are arranging the historic booth of the Ford Werka AG in exhibition hall 3. The Ford Model T, the first full-production run vehicle of the world manufactured at an assembly line from 1908 to 1927 will be the main focus of the always extensively and professionally designed, company-supported club presentation. Until 17 February 1972, when it was outrun by the VW Beetle, the Ford T was the most produced car in the world.

The Ford enthusiasts will celebrate the 100th birthday of the "Tin Lizzie", built in a number of about 15 million vehicles, with an expected six historic Ford T, symbolising the wide production range of the "car for the ordinary Joe". A Ford T delivery van is likely to be seen there just as a Ford T roadster, a T-model limousine and a Ford T racing car.

Besides the big T-model anniversary, the Ford enthusiasts will acclaim another vehicle to be honoured: the Ford Escord will be 40 years of age. The Escord models presented on the occasion of the birthday have not been identified at the editorial deadline - but those who are acquainted with the presentations of the past years know that the clubs are always good for a spectacular surprise. Thus, some unusual Escort variants will certainly be seen also in 2008.

Furthermore the clubs will exhibit the following historic vehicles: Ford Capri, Ford Taunus, Ford Zephyr and Ford OSI.
