Renault

The Federal Association of German Alpine and Renault Clubs (D'ARC) will closely cooperate this year again with its member associations in arranging the D'ARC exhibition stand in the "France hall" no. 4. The area of D´ARC will probably offer again this year a delightful mixture of entertainment, information and cultivated French hospitality.

The main topic of the performance of D´ARC was not yet determined when this publication went to press - however there are enough major anniversaries for Renault this year to offer an attractive topic exhibition at the TECHNO-CLASSICA:
100 years ago in 1908 the Société des Automobiles Louis Renault was established and 80 years ago the Renault models Monastella and Vivastella were launched, 70 years ago the Suprastella. 50 years ago in 1958, the Renault Dauphine surprised the world of motoring as overall winner of the Rally Monte - that Monte which went down in history as one of the hardest rallies, with only every eighth car reaching the destination.

Further Renault anniversaries in 2008 are the 40th birthday of the Renault 6 and the 30th Birthday of the Renault 18. In the year of its launch, Renault won the 24 hours of Le Mans with a Renault Alpine A 442. 20 years ago Renault successfully returned to the Formula 1 and presented the Renault 19.

The Renault clubs are soon to announce which topic(s) will be in the centre of their performance at the TECHNO-CLASSICA.
